Meet The Bride
Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse, who is passionate about the profession and all round success. Betty is a resilient woman who hopes to impact the people she encounters in her everyday life whether physically or virtually.
Meet The Groom
Ayodeji is an Architect, and a Certified Project Manager who is goal-oriented and always enthusiastic about improving his skills and craft. He is a go-getter who ensures he achieves whatever he sets his mind to and this has been a source of inspiration to those around him.
HOW BETTY AND AYODEJI MET?
Our story unknowingly began when we both attended an IELTS tutoring centre in Nigeria in 2019. We both used to see each other in the class but we never really had a conversation until one day when Betty walked into class and was dressed beautifully. Our tutor continually teased her throughout the class and the rest is history.
FIRST DATE
Our first date was in 2019 which was very casual as we were still friends at the time. We went to a restaurant and the connection was incredible, we conversed very easily, even though Betty was shy. I remember Betty's mum kept calling to check why she was out till late. However, that was the last time we saw until 2023.
DATING AND LONG-DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP
Although we met in 2019, we remained good friends until 2020 and we barely communicated throughout 2021. We reconnected in January 2022 and we started dating in February. We met again physically in 2023 (approximately a year after we started dating). We’ve been in a long-distance relationship since the start of our relationship, and it hasn’t been the easiest but we’ve been able to do it with the help of God.
PROPOSAL
Ayodeji proposed in March 2024. It was Betty’s brother’s civil wedding day and he had already planned the proposal with Betty’s best friend, who is also her brother’s wife. We all planned to go to a restaurant after their wedding. Ayodeji proposed on the same day because the closest people to Betty (Her mum, her siblings, and her best friend) were around.
ONE SENTENCE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET
BETTY: I will never forget when Ayodeji said ‘LET ME HEAL WITH YOU’ before we started dating. It’s one sentence I’ll forever hold dear to my heart.AYODEJI: I can never forget the day Betty said, ‘Unless you decide not to marry me.’😂😂😂 I knew I found my wife already because Queen was ready for my kingdom.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO IN YOUR MARRIAGE?
We look forward to building that home and familial bond forever, while putting GOD at the centre of our lives and family. We also cannot wait to finally close the distance and spend forever together.
